Test your darkness
Ensure the room you are in does not have light leaks. If non red light is present in the room your photo paper can be ruined.
Phone screen = light
Ensure your phone is in airplane mode when developing. Do not use your phone when photo paper is out of the black envelope.

Use the included test strips to determine proper exposure time and to ensure there are no light leaks.
